Trump ‘did military a favor’ with the transgender ban

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the ban on transgender people serving in the armed services was doing the military a ‘great favor.’

Trump got asked about his recent tweets thats that transgender people could not serve in ‘any capacity’ in the military. 

‘I have great respect for the community,” Trump said  at his golf course in Bedmininster, New Jersey along with his security team.

‘I think I’ve had great support, or I’ve had great support from that community. I got a lot of votes. It’s been a very complicated issue for the military, it’s been a very confusing issue for the military, and I think I’m doing the military a great favor,’ he said, The Hill reported. 

Trump announced the policy suddenly on Twitter, even though the Pentagon had already announced a six month delay in a policy review.
